It has been quite a while since we have been to Genting Highlands. Almost a year I suppose if not longer. Well we were there last weekend but this time we drove our Viva. We actually wanted to test out how our Viva 1.0 would fare out climbing the steep ascent up the Genting slopes. Well it did farely well for a small car....

Mist shrouded road ascending to Genting Highlands peak... |
As we reached the top, the road were shrouded in thick mist and it was quite cold. We went to The First World Hotel. The air of celebration of the Chinese New Year can be seen everywhere. Dragon Dance, decorations of red lanterns were all the theme for First World. We went up for a ride up of the Rio Float which is actually a hanging gondola that would take you around the First World's arcade. The ride cost RM8.00 (pay per ride) each and lasted about 5 minutes.

The most interesting thing about Genting for us is not the Theme Park's rides or games but the cold atmosphere and the misty shrouded landscapes. We finally headed down home at around 8 pm.
